This project aims to develop organic indoor light cells in a freeform shape, sizes and with different colors at a low-cost industrial scale. Organic indoor light cells directly convert natural/artificial light into electricity. Under regular home or office lights, these cells (half the size of an ID card) can generate voltage equivalent to 2-3 AA/AAA batteries, and can also perform well under as low light as a computer screen. Industrially, they can be printed just like newspapers are printed.
Bhushan Ramesh Patil
Bhushan has been working on organic solar cells for the last 12 years. He obtained and PhD in Organic Solar Cells from University of Southern Denmark in 2017 after earning his master’s degree (M.Sc. in Micro and Nano Systems) from Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany in 2014.
